Lash Services
Q: What types of lash extensions do you offer?
At BBA Lash, we customize every set based on your eye shape, natural lashes, and desired look. Our services include:
• Classic Lashes – A natural enhancement with one extension per natural lash.
• Angel Set – A step above classic, adding a soft, wispy density while staying natural.
• Light Volume – A balance between natural and full, giving a soft, fluffy look.
• Russian Volume – Ultra-full and dense lashes using handmade volume fans.
• Wet Look – A spiky, textured effect for a bold, trendy style.
• Kim K Effect – Wispy, staggered lengths for a dramatic, celebrity-inspired look.
• Customized Sets – Every set is tailored to your unique features and personal preference.
Q: How long do lash extensions last?
Lash extensions typically last 2-4 weeks before needing a fill, depending on your natural lash cycle, aftercare, and lifestyle.
Q: Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
Absolutely not recommended—especially for volume lashes. As stated in our policy, if mascara is applied, a removal will be required and a full set must be done. Mascara is nearly impossible to fully remove from both the extensions and natural lashes, which negatively affects retention. Additionally, oil-based mascaras can break down the adhesive and lead to premature shedding.
Q: Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not when applied correctly! We prioritize lash health by using proper isolation and weight-appropriate extensions.
Q: How do I take care of my lash extensions?
• Clean your lashes daily with an oil-free lash cleanser.
• Avoid rubbing, pulling, or sleeping face-down.
• Schedule regular fills every 2-3 weeks.
Brow Services
Q: What brow services do you offer?
We specialize in:
• Brow Lamination – Reshapes brow hairs for a fuller, lifted look.
• Brow Tinting – Enhances brow color for a natural, defined appearance.
• Brow Shaping – Using precise measuring techniques tailored to your face morphology.
Powder Brows – A permanent makeup technique that gives the effect of softly filled-in brows, similar to a powder or eyeshadow finish. The result is natural, flattering, and long-lasting.
Q: Is brow lamination suitable for everyone?
Not always. If you have very thin or sparse brows, lamination may not be ideal. However, if you want a fluffier, fuller effect, it’s a great option!
Q: How long does brow lamination last?
Results typically last 4-6 weeks, depending on hair growth and aftercare.
Q: What are Powder Brows, and how long do they last?
Powder Brows are a semi-permanent makeup technique that creates a soft, shaded effect, similar to filling in your brows with a light powder. The results look natural yet defined and can last 1-3 years with proper care and touch-ups.
Lash Training
Q: Do I need an esthetician or cosmetology license to take a lash training course?
No! You don’t need a license to enroll in our training. However, licensing laws vary by state. In Nevada, you can take the training first, practice, and decide if you want to pursue licensing later.
Q: What’s included in the training?
• A professional lash kit
• Hands-on practice with live models
• 2-day live training with theory & practical work
• 3 months of mentorship via a private chat
• Certification upon completion
Q: Will I be certified after this course?
Yes! You will receive a BBA Lash Certification, proving you’ve completed the training and are ready to work as a lash artist. However, state licensing requirements may vary.
Q: How long does it take to become good at lashing?
It depends on each person, but consistent practice is key! If you follow Alisa’s advice, apply all the techniques she teaches, and practice on as many models as possible every day, you will see rapid improvement. Dedication and repetition are what separate a good lash artist from a great one. Most students take 2-6 months to feel confident, but those who commit to daily practice progress much faster!
Product Questions
Q: Do you sell professional lash products?
Yes! Our BBA Lash Pro Shop carries professional-grade lash products and supplies, trusted and used by top artists.
Q: Can students and professionals purchase your products?
Absolutely! Whether you're enrolled in our academy or a professional artist, you can shop our products in-studio or online.
Q: Do I need prior experience to join?
No prior experience is required for beginner courses. We also offer advanced courses for experienced lash artists looking to level up.
Q: How do I know if lashing is right for me?
Lashing requires patience, precision, and creativity. If you enjoy beauty, working with people, and using your hands, you’ll love it! However, it takes dedication and daily practice to get good.
Q: How do I stay patient and not give up when I struggle?
Every lash artist struggles at the beginning! The key is to keep practicing, ask for feedback, and trust the process. Even the best lash artists once took 5+ hours per set before improving.
Q: How do I improve my speed without sacrificing quality?
• Use proper isolation techniques to avoid stickies.
• Work with the right tweezers and grip for efficiency.
• Set a timer for each section of the eye.
• The more you practice, the faster you’ll get!
Q: How do I know if my lash sets are “good enough” to charge clients?
Once you can:
• Properly isolate every lash.
• Create a balanced, even look on both eyes.
• Apply lash fans or classic lashes correctly without damage.
• Have retention that lasts 2-3 weeks for clients.
That’s when you can start charging!
Q: Does a lash certification mean I can legally work right away?
No, a certification shows you completed training, but licensing laws vary by state. Some states require an esthetician or cosmetology license, while others allow certified lash artists to work.
Q: Do clients care if I’m licensed or just certified?
Many clients don’t know the difference. However, licensing gives you credibility and ensures you’re legally protected.
Q: How do I attract clients through social media?
• Post before & after photos consistently.
• Show behind-the-scenes videos of your work.
• Use local hashtags (e.g., #LasVegasLashes, #VegasLashTech).
• Offer giveaways or referral discounts.
• Engage with local people by commenting on their posts.
Q: Do I need a professional website, or is Instagram enough?
Instagram is great, but a website with online booking makes you look more professional and helps new clients find you.
Q: How do I take bookings online?
Use a booking system like Acuity Scheduling Square payments (Alisa’s choice), Fresha, GlossGenius. It automates scheduling, payments, and reminders.
Q: What should I post on social media to get clients?
• Client transformations (before & after photos).
• Lash education (how to clean lashes, retention tips).
• Personal branding (show your face, personality, and journey).
• Client testimonials & reviews.
Q: How do I get people to trust me when I’m just starting out?
• Share your training journey on social media.
• Show real results and practice on models.
• Be professional and confident in your work!
